CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The trading of quarterback Joshua Dobbs to Arizona, implies the possibility of more trades coming about. Possibly, the Browns could explore trades within the running back room, whose searching a RB2 replacement while Jerome Ford rehabs his hamstring injury. But if the Browns were to make a trade for a running back, what options are available?

There’s Kansas City’s Clyde Edwards-Helaire who ended his third season with 71 carries for 302 yards (4.3 per carry), 15 rushing first-downs and three touchdowns. His season was cut shortly in late November due to a high ankle sprain, and wasn’t used much during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl run.

Next is 24-year old Michael Carter, who found more time in the run game during 2022, due to a season ending ACL tear to Breece Hall, the Jets’ RB1. He took advantage and stayed solid with 402 yards on 114 carries (3.5 per carry) and three touchdowns.

Last but not least is Atlanta’s Cordarrelle Patterson, who rushed for 695 yards on 144 carries (4.8 per carry) and eight touchdowns, and is high value name in the market of returning kickoffs. During 2022, Patterson returned nine kickoffs for 284 yards (31.6 per return) and one touchdown, a 103 yard return..
