A former Astros prospect has been released from a Pennsylvania baseball team after a video of him beating his girlfriend at Whataburger Field in August 2016 was released earlier this week.

The video shows former Corpus Christi Hooks player Danry Vasquez hitting his girlfriend multiple times as the two descend a stairwell after baseball practice. Vasquez is seen slapping his girlfriend to the ground as soon as the pair enter the stairwell. Once she's on the ground, Vasquez strikes her again and then drags her down the stairs. The video shows him hitting her again once they get to the bottom of a flight of stairs.

Vazquez is seen leaving the stairwell for an unspecified reason. When the video cuts back to Vasquez inside of the stairwell, he's seen swinging his fist in his girlfriend's face from behind, causing her to lose her glasses and fall to the ground.
