Loyola Marymount Takes Out Jackson State

The Loyola Marymount Lions come into this one looking to rebound from an 86-76 loss to Stephen F. Austin last time out. Entering Sunday, Dominick Harris leads the Lions in scoring with 17 PPG along with 3.7 RPG while Justice Hill has 14.7 PPG with a team-high 5 APG to lead the Lions in the assist department this season. Alex Merkviladze has 11.3 PPG while Justin Wright and Will Johnston each have 10.3 PPG and Keli Leaupepe has 10 PPG with 6.7 RPG to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for the Lions so far this year. Lars Thiemann also has 9.7 PPG with a team-high 7 RPG to lead LMU on the glass up to this point in the season. As a team, Loyola Marymount is averaging 92.3 PPG on 52.4% shooting from the field, 39.8% from three and 62.7% from the foul line this season.

I’m looking at the over here. I’m leaning towards Loyola Marymount for a side, but this is an Oakland team that can put points on the board when needed, it’s just been the defense that has failed them more often than not. Both of these teams are reliant on the three for their offensive output, but LMU is 12th nationally in 3-point shooting and top-60 in adjusted offensive efficiency. I think this just ends up being a high-scoring LMU win, so give me the over here.
