André Greipel won his fourth stage win as the 102nd Tour de France came to a close in a wet Paris this afternoon. Possibly the most prestigious sprint of the year but less and less under the spotlight as all eyes are on the Yellow Jersey as Sky rider, Chris Froome made his way up the Champs Elysee's.

The 2015 Tour de France belongs to Nairobi born, Chris Froome, who won the competition just two years ago. Froome ended up with a 1:12 time advantage over Colombian cyclist, Nairo Quintana and 5:25 over third placed, Alejandro Valverde.

The wet conditions leading to potentially hazardous conditions on the cobbled stones in the French capital forced the Tour organizers to amend the traditional 10 laps of the Champs-Elysee's in order to qualify for overall placings.

Froome was deemed to have won as soon as he reached the famous Parisian avenue and the race clock was 'neutralized'.

The 30 year old Team Sky rider Froome becomes the first British cyclist to win one of the world’s most grueling races twice.
