Jordi Majó used the name Sergio Ramos to cause a stir in the media during his preliminary candidacy to become president of Barcelona. At the Hotel Barcelona Center, his electoral headquarters, Majó claimed on Friday that Ramos had been offered as his electoral ‘trump card’ to gain votes.
However, those close to the Madrid defender were quick to deny that no authorised party had offered Ramos to any pre-candidate and insisted that Ramos would never play for the Catalan club.
