Cristiano is agitated with Real Madrid

Five issues are bothering the player from Madeira who declared media silence on February 7 and intends to maintain this posture.

Five issues are bothering the player from Madeira who declared media silence on February 7 and intends to maintain this posture.

Cristiano is currently on vacation in the Bahamas, but not even a holiday on the Caribbean island is enough to quell the player’s frustration with ongoing issues at his club which he feels were a factor in the side’s dip in form in the latter part of the season. Piqué agitated this situation with his declarations on June 7 as Barça celebrated their historic treble: “Thanks Kevin Roldán, it all started with you”. Ronaldo feels that this was not an attack on Real Madrid but a personal jibe at him.

He feels that the club didn’t do enough in media terms in defending his party alter the 4-0 reverse at the Calderón and that is not happy with the constant insinuation that his party was instrumental in Real Madrid’s poor run-in. With Ancelotti no longer on the Bernabéu bench, Cristiano also feels he has lost an important ally at the club.

That very same February 7th night alter the 4-0 derby defeat, there were another two birthday parties taking place: Iker Casillas was at Sara Carbonero’s (his wife) party and Florentino was present at the party held for club director, Nicolás Martín Sanz. After the game at the Calderon, the Portuguese striker spoke to the assembled press for the last time. He has singled out that defeat as being significant in the 2014/15 season stating: “The team is lacking both mental and physical freshness”. The club has taken this comment as an indirect attack on the coaching staff.

There are well known tensions between the players and the head of the medical team, Jesús Olmo. The players are not happy with his methods of injury recovery and the club has just confirmed his contract renewal. This has not been well received with Cristiano and other dressing room heavyweights.

The third motive for his annoyance is the ongoing treatment of two of his closer friends at the club: Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos. He doesn’t understand the way the club are treating two iconic players who have spent 16 and 10 years respectively at Real Madrid. He’s aware that the same treatment could happen to him as renewal or continuation will be based purely on economic terms.

He’s also frustrated that his new position for the 2015/16 season (playing as a traditional number ‘9’) was communicated via the media and this was his way of learning about his new role in the team. He feels that as a patient (keeping on Dr. Olmo at the club) as a player (he spoke out that he wanted Ancelotti to continue) he is being overlooked. He was also annoyed that Benítez took time to visit Bale on Cardiff. Real Madrid has always been a club who respect a hierarchy structure in the dressing room seem to forget that Crsitiano is the best paid placer at the club...
