And according to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, who often make sensational transfer claims, Messi has told Barca to find a replacement for Umtiti.
The Argentina talisman has told Nou Camp transfer chiefs to make a move for Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt or Lille’s Clement Lenglet.
Messi feels the one of the young defenders would be an ideal replacement for Umtiti at Barca.

Speaking about numerous clubs tracking him ahead of the summer transfer window, Umtiti said last week: "Negotiations for a contract renewal have not started yet.
"My release clause is low, but that’s not what I worry about, I focus on the pitch.
"It’s not only Manchester United, other clubs want me as well, but my sole focus is on Barcelona.
