The 2015 Copa America organization committee have published their perfect team from the quarter finals of this year’s competition. The bulk is made up of Chilean and Argentinean players but on this occasion there are very few ‘star players’ included. From La Liga, only Mascherano and Messi make the eleven, with Messi also having been included in the ‘perfect XI from the group phase. The Barça player and Chile’s, Gary Medel are the only players to feature in both XI’s. Brazil and Colombia’s eliminations make room for players from Peru and Paraguay who are represented respectively by the likes of: Cueva, Guerrero, Piris and Derlis González.
The XI is composed of: Ospina (Colombia); Isla (Chile), Medel (Chile), Garay (Argentina), Piris (Paraguay); Derlis González (Paraguay), Mascherano (Argentina), Valdivia (Chile), Cueva (Perú); Guerrero (Perú) and Messi (Argentina).
Paraguay head coach, Ramón Díaz was chosen as the perfect coach following the quarter finals.
There will be an ideal XI for the semi-finals and then the organizers will announce their perfect team from the complete tournament.
