TEENAGER Alex de Minaur is stunning world No.5 Alexander Zverev in his first ever Davis Cup match, leading two sets to one.

The rising star of Australian tennis is making his Davis Cup debut as faces Zverev in the opening singles rubber of the first-round World Group tie in Brisbane.

After a few early wobbles, de Minaur has looked at the level of the leader of the so-called Next-Gen of tennis, leading 5-7 6-4 6-4.

After a brilliant fightback in the opening set, Zverev claimed the early advantage, taking the set 7-5, over 20 minutes after his first chance to win it.
