In wrecking what Brittany Force described as a dream car in the season opener at Pomona, John Force Racing debuted another Monster Energy Top Fuel dragster this weekend at Royal Purple Raceway.

The results were devastating – for the competition.

This win is big for us,” said Force, who is just starting to feel comfortable again behind the wheel after experiencing the worst accident of her career and still undergoes physical therapy. “It puts Pomona behind us and it pushes us towards another championship.”

Force covered the 1,000 feet in 3.762 seconds at 299.46 mph to McMillen’s 3.818 and 311.56.

Joining Force in the winner’s circle on Sunday were J.R. Todd (Funny Car) and Matt Hartford (Pro Stock), an unlikely winner who reached a NHRA final round for the first time and in the final, ran down Erica Enders, a native of Houston who cut her racing teeth at Royal Purple Raceway in Junior Dragster.
