The UCLA Bruins and Washington Huskies square off Friday in a PAC-12 college football game from the Rose Bowl. Washington just finished up a matchup versus Stanford. In that one the Huskies managed an 18-point victory. As for UCLA, they played Colorado in their last outing. The Bruins would go on to win in a blowout. Washington took on Kent State in their opener this year and didn’t have a ton of trouble in a 45-20 victory. Game two against Portland State was much the same in a 52-6 Huskies win. Washington kept it going against Michigan State, taking a 39-28 victory.

In game four versus Stanford, the Huskies scored points in every quarter during a 40-22 victory. QB Michael Penix finished with 309 yards and two touchdowns. Wayne Taulapapa put up 120 yards and a score off 13 carries to lead the rush.

Over on the UCLA side, they posted a blowout in their opener as well, taking out Bowling Green 45-17. The Bruins kept it rolling with a 45-7 blowout win over Alabama State as well. Game three was a little tricky however; it ended up a tight 32-31 win over South Alabama.

Last weekend versus Colorado, the Bruins also scored in every quarter during a 45-17 win. Dorian Thompson-Robinson put up 19-of-23 passing with 234 yards and two touchdowns. Zach Charbonnet rushed for 104 yards and three scores off nine carries.

The Huskies are 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Friday games. Washington is 2-5 ATS versus a team with a winning record.

Meanwhile, the Bruins are 5-2 in their last seven overall and 7-16-1 ATS in their last 24 in September. UCLA is 0-4 ATS in their last four Friday games.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on UCLA. The Bruins have had three pretty big wins so far, and they’ve been doing well on offense overall. In the Colorado game, UCLA put up 515 total yards with 25 first downs and 8.2 yards per play. The eight penalties were a little spotty, but UCLA controlled the ball with zero turnovers.

Washington did a solid job on offense as well during their win over Stanford, posting 478 yards and 23 first downs. This should be a pretty fun matchup overall, and I think UCLA has been playing well enough this season to think they’ll cover here.

Andrew's Free Pick:
UCLA Bruins +3.5
