What to Know
After four games on the road, the Utah Jazz are heading back home. They will take on the Los Angeles Clippers at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Vivint Arena after having had a few days off. Utah has been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with Los Angeles and is hoping to record their first win since June 10th.
The Jazz's matchup against the Washington Wizards on Saturday was close at halftime, but Utah turned on the heat in the second half with 73 points. Utah blew past Washington 123-98. Utah got their victory on the backs of several key players, and it was center Hassan Whiteside out in front dropping a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds along with four blocks.
Meanwhile, the Clippers strolled past the Phoenix Suns with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 111-95. Among those leading the charge for Los Angeles was power forward Marcus Morris, who posted a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards.
Utah is the favorite in this one, with an expected 11.5-point margin of victory. They are currently three-for-three against the spread in their most recent games, a trend bettors might want to take into account.
Utah ended up a good deal behind Los Angeles when they played when the two teams previously met in June, losing 131-119. The defeat knocked the Jazz out of the playoffs, so expect them to come at the Clippers with a vengeful fire.
