With the announcement of the global tournament series, GBFV players are aware of a small omission. Although there wasn’t any talk of a change in the game’s rollback netcode, it would likely be played with the games current delay-based netcode. Subpar netcode has been a huge sticking point of popular games since it was launched. Developers haven’t explained any sign that the game would be getting rollback netcode.
This is an issue amongst the fighters that like Dragon Ball FighterZ like Arc System Works. The developer has recently implemented rollback such as Guilty Gear Strive and DNF Duel. However, it seems that the option of adding the online technology to the game, which has been running for years, is not in its plans – at least for now.
