CHICAGO -- After a huge win on Saturday, the Detroit Red Wings are back in action on Sunday, as they face an old rival in the Chicago Blackhawks.

Things will begin with some reminiscing, as Hockey Hall of Famer and former Red Wing, Chris Chelios, will have his number raised to the rafters at the United Center. Chelios played for the Blackhawks from 1990 to 1999, when he was traded to Detroit.
The Red Wings hope to spoil the party by extending their four-game win streak. They came ready to play on Saturday afternoon by annihilating the St. Louis Blues. Alex Debrincat’s three-point night, paired up with a solid performance in net by Alex Lyon, and Detroit continues to distance themselves from the rest trying to chase down a Wild Card spot.
Coming into Sunday, Detroit is fourth in the Atlantic Division, six points back of the Toronto Maple Leafs for third. They hold the first WC spot in the Eastern Conference, six points ahead of the ninth-place New Jersey Devils.
The Blackhawks are nowhere near a playoff spot, and it has been that way for months. Even though people are paying to see rookie sensation Connor Bedard, Chicago is mostly abysmal to watch. After losing to the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night, the Hawks have dropped their last three games, and are one point back of the San Jose Sharks for the worst record in the NHL.
This is the second and final meeting of the season between the two Original Six rivals. The Wings won the first meeting back in Detroit in late November.
