Josep Maria Bartomeu left the door open for a possible loan deal involving new arrival Arda Turan, who is ineligible to play until January due to the transfer ban imposed on the Catalan club by FIFA.
Barcelona’s presidential candidate, speaking on the programme ‘EL Món’ on Catalan radio station RAC1, specified how “this is a possibility, but the final decision must be made by the trainer and it must be a purely technical decision.”
Bartomeu also went on to say “it must be a team not playing in the Champions League.”
Both Arda and Aleix Vidal are unable to play for Los Culés, in any capacity, until the turn of the year; however, Bartomeu explained that a loan deal option would only apply to the Turkish midfielder given that the former Sevilla player “has already decided to train with the squad.”
