Florida State's 2018 recruiting class is all locked up, and it's time to take a look at how the Seminoles' roster stacks up with the new additions.

FSU has also had a few departures due to transfer or medical disqualifications, which puts the Seminoles at 83 scholarship players.

That leaves FSU with two available scholarships for the 2018 season.

Quarterback - 3

On the roster: Redshirt junior Deondre Francois, sophomore James Blackman, freshman Bailey Hockman

Notes: FSU did not sign a quarterback in the 2018 class, but return two quarterbacks that have started at least 12 games for the Seminoles.

Running back - 6

On the roster: Senior Jacques Patrick, junior Amir Rasul, sophomore Cam Akers, redshirt freshman Khalan Laborn, redshirt freshman Zaquandre White, freshman Anthony Grant

Notes: An FSU spokesperson told the Tallahassee Democrat that Deonte Sheffield "is not on scholarship yet." Sheffield could be put on scholarship at some point this year after being blue shirted last season. A blue shirt means that a player was not officially recruited by a program -- meaning he didn't take an official visit or receive an in-home visit, or sign with the program -- that enrolled with the program. The player may be on campus and practicing with the team his first year, but he is not allowed to play that season.

Fullback - 2

On the roster: Redshirt senior Johnathan Vickers, junior Gabe Nabers

Notes: FSU used the fullback quite a bit in Jimbo Fisher's offense, but it remains to be seen how Willie Taggart will use the fullback in the Gulf Coast Offense. Nabers could transition into more of an H-back type role.

Wide receiver - 10

On the roster: Senior Nyqwan Murray, redshirt junior George Campbell, junior Keith Gavin, sophomore D.J. Matthews, redshirt freshman Tamorrion Terry, freshman Warren Thompson, freshman Tre'Shaun Harrison, freshman Jordan Young, freshman D'Marcus Adams, freshman Keyshawn Helton

Notes: During his press conference, Taggart said that FSU had just five scholarship receivers on the roster and needed a big class. That means that Da'Vante Phillips, who was listed on FSU's roster in 2017 despite being indefinitely suspended, is no longer with the team.

Tight end - 4

On the roster: Redshirt sophomore Naseir Upshur, sophomore Tre' McKitty, redshirt freshman Alexander Marshall, freshman Camren McDonald

Notes: FSU lost Ryan Izzo to the NFL draft and Mavin Saunders to transfer leaving McKitty -- one reception for 23 yards -- as the only tight end that has caught a pass.

Offensive line - 16

On the roster: Redshirt senior Alec Eberle, redshirt senior Corey Martinez, redshirt junior Cole Minshew, redshirt junior Abdul Bello, junior Landon Dickerson, redshirt sophomore Josh Ball, redshirt sophomore Baveon Johnson, redshirt sophomore Jauan Williams, redshirt sophomore Andrew Boselli, redshirt sophomore Mike Arnold, redshirt freshman Brady Scott, freshman Christian Meadows, freshman Christian Armstrong, freshman Jalen Goss, freshman Chaz Neal

Notes: FSU returns four starters from the 2017 season -- Eberle, Minshew, Dickerson, and Ball, as well as Derrick Kelly, who started in place of the injured Dickerson at left guard -- with right tackle as the only position that needs to be filled.

Defensive end - 9

On the roster: Redshirt senior Adam Torres, junior Brian Burns, junior Janarius Robinson, sophomore Joshua Kaindoh, redshirt freshman Tre Lawson, freshman Malcolm Lamar, freshman Xavier Peters, freshman Dennis Briggs, freshman Jamarcus Chatman

Notes: FSU only has two defensive ends that have played extensively on the roster, but brought in a great defensive end class this year. All four of those freshman will have a chance to compete for playing time this year.

Defensive tackle - 9

On the roster: Redshirt senior Demarcus Christmas, redshirt senior Fred Jones, redshirt senior Arthur Williams, senior Wally Aime, redshirt sophomore Cedric Wood, sophomore Marvin Wilson, redshirt freshman Ja'len Parks, redshirt freshman Cory Durden, freshman Robert Cooper

Notes: FSU will need a big defensive tackle class in 2019 after losing four seniors after this year, but are in good position with the talented guys behind them.

Linebacker - 8

On the roster: Redshirt senior Delvin Purifoy, redshirt junior Adonis Thomas, junior Dontavious Jackson, junior Emmett Rice, junior Josh Brown, sophomore Leonard Warner, redshirt freshman DeCalon Brooks, freshman Amari Gainer

Notes: All three linebacker positions on the FSU defense are up for grabs with the departures of Matthew Thomas, Ro'Derrick Hoskins, and Jacob Pugh. Emmett Rice isn't likely available for spring practice after suffering a knee injury in the Independence Bowl.

Cornerback - 7

On the roster: Junior Levonta Taylor, junior Kyle Meyers sophomore Stanford Samuels III, redshirt freshman Ontaria Wilson, freshman A.J. Lytton, freshman Asante Samuel Jr., freshman Isaiah Bolden

Notes: Wilson has been a candidate to move over to the offensive side of the ball.

Safety - 6

On the roster: Senior A.J. Westbrook, senior Calvin Brewton, junior Carlos Becker, sophomore Cyrus Fagan, sophomore Hamsah Nasirildeen, freshman Jaiden Woodbey

Notes: FSU lost four safeties off of last years roster so both spots are open.

Special teams - 3

On the roster: Junior Logan Tyler, junior Ricky Aguayo, freshman Grant Glennon

Notes: Grant Glennon blue shirted last year and was able to practice. He is the only scholarship long snapper on the roster.
