Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts had a wager with Charles Barkley (an Auburn alum) over the Iron Bowl last season.
As a condition of the bet, Hurts agreed to walk around Alabama’s campus in an Auburn jersey if the Tigers won the game. Well, with Auburn’s 26-14 win, Hurts was a man of his word. He just happened to get the last laugh.
Alabama’s Twitter account shared a video of Hurts in an Auburn jersey on Thursday. As he got ready to head to class, Hurts reached down for a bag containing the CFP national championship trophy.
Check and mate.
Sure, Hurts had to wear an Auburn jersey in Tuscaloosa. Credit to him, though, for turning a loss into a resounding victory.
Barkley can’t come back from that one.
