Kakuta was presented to the media by Sevilla’s director of sport, Monchi, and vice president, Del Nido Carrasco, on Friday after successfully passing a medical. The French winger explained his move to the Andaluisian club.
Expectations: “If I’m here then it’s because of what I did last season and what Monchi and the club have done in showing faith in me. I want to show my quality and play better than last season.”
Friendship with Kolo: “Even though Kolo is my friend I’m not here because of him; I’m here because the club showed faith in me. I really like the football Sevilla plays and that’s one of the things the brought me here.”
Loans: “My aim is to settle after various loans. I think at Sevilla I can do that.”
New role: “The coach will decide my role. I’m here to give it everything. I’m an attacking player but I know that Emery demands a lot defensively. At Rayo I also had to work a lot without the ball and I see myself in good shape physically to be up to the task.”
