Chelsea are considering recalling Billy Gilmour from his loan with Norwich City.
Goal says Chelsea could turn to their young academy star Gilmour if their injury problems continue in midfield.
The Blues have the option to cut his loan with strugglers Norwich short - if they wish to do so.
There was talk that it could happen earlier in the season when the Scotsman was out of favour under order boss Daniel Farke.
Gilmour was left on the bench for six consecutive games towards the end of Farke's tenure, which ended with a 2-1 win at Brentford.
But since Dean Smith's arrival at the club, Gilmour has become the heartbeat of the Canaries' midfield.
He has now started four consecutive matches against Southampton, Wolves, Newcastle and Tottenham respectively.
