The Vegas Golden Knights need to win tonight, as a loss will eliminate them from playoff contention. Vegas is coming off a heartbreaking 5-4 shootout loss to the San Jose Sharks, and they need to be ready to rebound for tonight’s game on the road vs. the Dallas Stars.
This is the third meeting between both teams, with Vegas having won the last two meetings. Those prior meetings don’t matter at this point, what matters is tonight’s game.
Standings Update
In terms of scoreboard watching this evening, the Nashville Predators (1st Wild Card) take on the Calgary Flames. Ideally the Golden Knights get a regulation win vs. the Stars, and get some help from Calgary in regulation.
If this were to happen, Nashville would sit at 94 points in 80 games, Dallas would be at 93 in 80 games, and Vegas would be at 92 in 80 games. It would give them some minimal wiggle room, and still allow for two paths into a Wild Card spot. It would require some help, and you can learn more about those scenarios by clicking below.
With all that out of the way, here are your projected lineups which are subject to change.
