In his latest article, Bleacher Report NBA insider Jake Fischer revealed two-time MVP Nikola Jokic wants to play with former EuroLeague MVP Vasilije Micic.
“Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic remains a hot name on the trade market. OKC holds his draft rights, and Nikola Jokic has been said to be a driving factor in Denver’s interest to obtain the EuroLeague MVP. San Antonio, Milwaukee and Chicago have also been mentioned as legitimate suitors.”
Micic is reportedly more serious about finally make the jump to the NBA. The Thunder acquired Micic’s draft rights from the Philadelphia 76ers in the Al Horford trade.
If he is to play in the NBA next season, it will not be for the Thunder. The team is rebuilding and has a logjam of young guards on the roster. Micic is better suited for helping a playoff team as a rotation piece.
The Nuggets, Spurs, Bucks and Bulls fit that description. Jokic and Micic were teammates on the Serbia national team.
