At this point, it’s been a couple of weeks since the epic brawl between the Seattle Mariners and the Los Angeles Angels.
A lot went down that day.
Jesse Winker was ejected and flipped the double bird to the crowd at Angel Stadium and Raisel Iglesias threw an entire bucket full of sunflower seeds towards the Mariners dugout, though it landed well short of the intended target.
At the time, both teams were down on their luck, as they rounded third and fourth place in the American League West, respectively.
But since then, the two teams have gone in opposite directions.
One Mariners insider notes on Twitter that the Mariners have gotten rolling since then and the Angels have hit yet another snag.

Trending In Different Directions
It seems as though that brawl energized the Mariners and deflated the Angels.
Since that brawl, the Mariners have begun climbing in the standings, coming to within three games of the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL Wild Card race.
They’ve also gotten themselves back to the .500 mark and are playing like the team that they were expected to be at the start of the season after all their big acquisitions.
Sometimes, a brawl can do that for you.
They were clearly frustrated by that and were able to rally behind Winker flipping the double bird to the crowd.
Though the Mariners lost that day, that brawl clearly has brought them closer together as a team and now they’re playing like the contender they were expected to be at the beginning of the season.
Meanwhile, the Angels have continued to go downhill and fall further out of contention.
They’re now seven games back of the final Wild Card and sit eight games below the .500 mark.
