Deportivo want Lucas Silva on a loan deal for the 2015-16 season. They are looking for a player to bolster their midfield and coach Víctor, has requested the services of the Brazilian for the forthcoming season. Madrid will loan the player out, only after he completes the pre-season with Benitez’s squad.
Silva joined Madrid in January 2015 for 14 million euro, moving from Brazilian Serie A side, Cruziero. He was touted as a replacement for Luka Modric but received very little playing time for his new club. He only played one complete La Liga game (against Levante) and one Champions League (against Schalke 04, in Gelsenkirchen). In total he played 337 minutes of league football and 90 minutes in the Copa del Rey, a total of just 427 minutes of first team football in five months.
His problem at Real Madrid is his status of non EU national and is in a pecking order behind, James and Casemiro. He also now falls behind new signing, Danilo. Although a season in Galicia with Depor looks like the favored destination for Silva. Sevilla and Portuguese outfit, FC Porto have also been sounding out a loan deal for the Brazilian.
