One thing is certain, the Liga MX champion will emerge from Guadalajara’s Akron Stadium Sunday. After playing to a scoreless draw in Thursday’s opening leg in Monterrey, Tigres UANL and Chivas Guadalajara lock up at 9:35 p.m. in Zapopan for one final, epic showdown.
TUDN/Univision will televise but fans without cable can still watch Liga MX by signing up for fuboTV (free trail) or Peacock ($4.99/month).
While five-time champion Tigres failed to beat Chivas keeper Miguel “Wacho” Jimenez in leg 1, midfielder Rafael Carioca owned the best chance, narrowly missing wide of goal in the 79th minute.
Earlier, it was Chivas midfielder Isaac Brizuela stealing a careless pass by Tigres near the box and delivering just high seconds before halftime.
