Bayern Munich vs VfB Stuttgart: Pavlović injured early, Palhinha forced to come on

Going FOUR games winless would be unthinkable.

Going FOUR games winless would be unthinkable.

7’ — Sub: Palhinha comes on for the injured Pavlović.

6’ — Bayern Munich are temporarily down to ten men with Pavlović suffering a shoulder injury after a fall.

Kickoff: We’re underway!

One hour until kickoff: We have lineups! Thomas Müller starts two games in a row for the first time this season, thankfully it comes after an international break so his old legs hopefully won’t crumble to dust. Meanwhile, Dayot Upamecano is on the pitch for Bayern Munich, so the defense is less makeshift than it could be. With Michael Olise and Serge Gnabry, Kompany will be hoping his team can outscore the opponent.

MATCHDAY! With the international break now over, Bayern Munich are back in action versus VfB Stuttgart, and are looking to prove that the winless streak is a thing of the past. Three games without a win isn’t a crisis at most clubs, but here? You can be certain that Vincent Kompany is feeling the pressure.

He’s likely not the only one. Harry Kane is in the middle of a mini goal-drought for club and country, having failed to score in the last three weeks. Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae have been dragged by the media for their roles in the leaky defense that conceded goals against Aston Villa and Eintracht Frankfurt. Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller may be playing for the final contract extensions of their career. Meanwhile, Stuttgart come into the game with a point to prove after their solid start to the season.

It’s Bayern time.
