Cougs set to take on Fresno State in Acrisure Holiday Invitational

The Cougs are looking to stay hot and build on their 5-1 record

Washington State will look to continue their hot start to the young season tonight when they match up with Fresno State in the first round of the Acrisure Holiday Invitational. Tip off is scheduled for 9:00 pm and will follow the game between SMU and Cal Baptist.

The Cougs have been on a roll this season and currently sit at 5-1 with their lone loss coming to Iowa two weeks ago. They have put up 90 or more points in 4 of their 6 games so far this season and have been led by Nate Calmese and Cedric Coward who are each averaging over 17 points per game this season.

Fresno State currently sits at 3-2 and are coming off of a 72-69 victory over Long Beach State. They are led by Amar Augillard who has put up 92 points on the season. He has put up 20 or more points in 3 of their games and is shooting .412 from the field.

The Cougs will go on to face either SMU or Cal Baptist on Wednesday with the two winners facing off at 9:00 while the other two will play each other at 6:30. All 4 games will be televised on TruTV. The Cougs will get the rest of the holiday week off and hit the road again next Monday against Nevada.
