Neymar played down his role in the goal that sealed victory for Brazil against Peru in the Copa América on Sunday: "It's a perfect pass if my teammate scores. The credit goes to Douglas. I played a good ball but 70 percent of it was him," the Brazil captain said of his assist for Douglas Costa, who scored the decisive goal in injury time in Temuco.
"It was a good game for us, we played well. It wasn't our best performance but we managed to create a lot of chances and we won, which is the most important thing," said Neymar, who scored Brazil's equalizer after Peru had taken an early lead.
The Barcelona forward was also sounded out on his chances of picking up a maiden Ballon d'Or trophy at the end of the year. "This year the Ballon d'Or already has an owner. For everything that Messi has done this year he deserves it. We'll have to see if I can get into the top three."
