Here's a look at who's signing with the Irish:

CB Houston Griffith 

Hometown (School): Bradenton, Florida (IMG Academy)

Height: 6-1

Weight: 192

This Under Armour All-American was a long-time Florida State commit who only recently flipped to the Irish. He had been recruited by Alabama, Ohio State, USC and others. He's one of the country's best corners.

"Houston is a superior athlete who is an aggressive hitter with great football intelligence," said defensive backs coach Todd Lyght.

QB Phil Jurkovec

Hometown (School): Gibsonia, Pennsylvania (Pine-Richland)

Height: 6-5

Weight: 215

After racking up 5,180 yards of offense as a senior, he was named the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Player of the Year. He passed for 3,969 yards and 39 touchdowns while rushing for 1,211 and 24. He's drawn comparisons to Dan Marino, and 247 Sports' director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong says he's a "franchise quarterback."

"A champion by every measure of the word, Jurkovec led his team to a perfect season and a state championship," Irish QBs coach Tommy Rees said. "A tremendous competitor and gifted athlete, Phil embodies everything that Notre Dame stands for, both on and off the field. I cannot wait to start working with him!"

S Derrik Allen

Hometown (School): Marietta, Georgia (Lassiter)

Height: 6-2

Weight: 211

This safety is another Under Amour All-American who could quickly contribute to the Irish secondary. He was also heavily recruited by Georgia, Ohio State and Clemson.

WR Kevin Austin

Hometown (School): Pompano Beach, Florida (North Broward Prep)

Height: 6-3

Weight: 188

This Florida product is one of the state's most physically impressive receivers, per the Orlando Sentinel. He was selected to the All-American Bowl after racking up 761 yards and 11 touchdowns on 35 receptions as a senior.

"Everyone always asks who Kevin Austin reminds me of," Brian Kelly tweeted Wednesday. "None other than our 1st Biletnikoff Award winner & Detroit Lions playmaker Golden Tate!"

LB Jack Lamb

Hometown (School): Temecula, California (Great Oak)

Height: 6-4

Weight: 220

Lamb, the son of a pair of Penn State graduates, chose the Irish over the Nittany Lions and other suitors including Oklahoma and TCU. He racked up 117 tackles (18 for loss), four sacks and an interception as a junior, which garnered attention from around the country.

"A long, rangy athlete whose presence will be felt immediately. Jack Lamb's desire to play at the highest level on the field, with excellence in the classroom made ND a perfect landing spot," linebackers coach Clark Lea tweeted. "I'm proud to have him in the unit & look forward to watching him grow into a great leader."

LB Shayne Simon

Hometown (School): Jersey City, N.J. (St. Peters Prep)

Height: 6-3

Weight: 215

From the same high school that produced Irish QB Brandon Wimbush, Simon picked Notre Dame over Michigan, UCLA, Stanford and Ohio State. A four-star prospect, he had 55 total tackles and 15 tackles for loss, three sacks and five interceptions as a senior. 

"A true leader on and off the field over his HS career," said Irish linebackers coach Clark Lea. "A rare maturity for his age gives him the opportunity to compete for a role in '18. Combine maturity w/ playmaking ability, there's plenty of reason to be excited about the next 4 yrs with Simon Shayne."

LB Jayson Ademilola

Hometown (School): Jersey City, N.J. (St. Peters Prep)

Height: 6-3

Weight: 290

He and his twin, Justin, will both suit up for the Irish. Ranked the 14th-best defensive tackle in the nation by 247Sports, Ademilola has 26 offers picked the Irish over Michigan, Alabama and Rutgers. He finished his prep career with 184 total tackles, 46.5 tackles for loss and 23.5 sacks.

TE George Takacs

Hometown (School): Naples, Fla. (Gulf Coast)

Height: 6-7

Weight: 242

A four-star prospect, he picked the Irish over overs from Florida and Georgia. "I've always been a Notre Dame fan," he told the Naples Daily News. "I've been to several games in person and watch them all the time on TV. Being a part of this legendary program is a dream come true." He was chosen to participate in the All-American Army Bowl. 

"There are only a handful of Tight Ends in the country that can come to Tight End U and thrive at this level — George Takacs will do that," Brian Kelly tweeted Wednesday. "I know Coach Long is excited to have this weapon on his offense!"  

LB Matthew (Bo) Bauer

Hometown (School): Erie, Pa. (Cathedral Prep)

Height: 6-2

Weight: 222

A four-star prospect, Bauer posted 96 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and nine sacks his senior season. As a junior, he racked up 114 total tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 12 sacks.

WR Micah Jones

Hometown (School): Gurnee, Ill. (Warren Township)

Height: 6-5

Weight: 206

Jones finished his senior season with 52 receptions for 692 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is ranked the fifth-best prospect out of Illinois, per 247Sports.

ATH Tariq Bracy

Hometown (School): Milpitas, Calif. (Milpitas)

Height: 6-0

Weight: 170

Ranked the 51st-best prospect out of California by 247Sports, Bracy chose Notre Dame over Cal, Washington State and Utah.In the NorCal regional final, he rushed for 310 yards and four touchdowns in 36 carries, leading his team to its first state championship appearance. He finished his senior season with 1,603 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns. As a junior, he ran for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns and caught 52 passes for 1,036 yards and 13 touchdowns.

TE Tommy Tremble

Hometown (School): Norcross, Ga. (Wesleyan School)

Height: 6-4

Weight: 225

Ranked the 20th-best tight end in the nation by 247Sports, Tremble had 26 offers and picked the Irish over Michigan, UCLA, Georgia and Tennesse.

"At Tight End U, adding five-tool Tight End Tommy Tremble is a must to keep our storied lineage going on offense," Brian Kelly tweeted Wednesday. "He's going to be a gamer that thrives in Coach Long's offensive system."

OT John Dirksen

Hometown (School): Marla Stein, Ohio (Marion Local)

Height: 6-5

Weight: 305

"John Dirksen is a long, athletic, powerful lineman," Irish offensive coordinator Chip Long tweeted Wednesday. "He plays the game the way it's supposed to be played — Nasty!" He was the catalyst for Marion Local's 10th Ohio high school state title this past season.

LB Ovie Oghoufo

Hometown (School): Farmington Hills (Harrison)

Height: 6-3

Weight: 215

Oghoufo wrote in a Detroit Free Press diary entry that he couldn't pass up on Notre Dame's "Tradition, family" and the "love at first sight" he had for the South Bend campus. Oghoufo captained the Freep's 2017 All-State Dream Team and is projected a likely redshirt candidate in 2018.

"What can you say about Ovie Oghoufo," Brian Kelly tweeted out Wednesday. "This kid has Notre Dame written all over him. He's a flat out competitor who we can't wait to get in here in January to compete.

DT Ja-Mion Franklin

Hometown (School): Ridgely, Md. (North Caroline)

Height: 6-1

Weight: 295

"Ja'Mion Franklin just goes out there and makes plays!" Brian Kelly tweeted out Wednesday morning. "I was sold on him from day one due to his demeanor and work ethic."

Defensive line coach Mike Elston added: "His work ethic and drive on the field will immediately allow him an opportunity to help us next fall."

RB Jahmir Smith

Hometown (School): Sanford, N.C. (Lee County)

Height: 6-0

Weight: 205

Smith rushed for more than 4,000 yards and for 68 touchdowns in two years at Lee County High School. A standout on the field and the classroom, he was receiving interest from a host of Ivy League schools. "Jahmir embodies every quality we look for in a Notre Dame student-athlete," running backs coach Autry Denson tweeted. "He’s a 4.0 student, a leader on his team & in his community, and the young man can ball! We are ND because of young men like him."

"Mir is a blur with the football & will be a special addition to Coach Denson's RB room," Brian Kelly tweeted Wednesday. "Excited to get him on the field!"

 

DE Justin Ademilola

Hometown (School): Jersey City, N.J. (St. Peters Prep)

Height: 6-3

Weight: 240

Joins his twin brother in Notre Dame's 2018 recruiting class. Ademilola is ranked the 33rd-best defensive end nationally in the class by 247Sports.

"I’ve really enjoyed watching Justin Ademilola this season," Irish defensive line coach Mike Elston tweeted Wednesday. "I believe he’s one of the most improved defensive linemen in the nation. He plays with an incredible motor and a great passion for the game. Justin should be able to give us pass rush help right away!"

OT Cole Mabry

Hometown (School): Brentwood, Tenn. (Brentwood)

Height: 6-6

Weight: 275

Ranked the 55th-best offensive tackle nationally in the class by 247Sports, Mabry picked the Irish over offers from IU, Cincinnati and Memphis.

"Cole Mabry has known he was going to be Irish for a very long time," offensive coordinator Chip Long tweeted. "He brings fantastic traits to an already special group of men. I know he will be a fantastic fit here at the University of Notre Dame."

ATH Joe Wilkins Jr. 

Hometown (School): North Fort Myers, Fla. (North Fort Myers)

Height: 6-2

Weight: 180

Ranked the 112th-best prospect out of Florida, Wilkins had 23 offers and picked the Irish over N.C. State, Michigan State and South Carolina, among others. He caught 34 passes for 616 yards and six touchdowns and produced 36 total tackles and two interceptions on defense his senior season.

"Coach Elko loves athletic student-athletes on his defense — with Joe Wilkins Jr.'s letter in, I can say that he will fit the mold perfectly," Brian Kelly tweeted out Wednesday morning.

S Paul Moala

Hometown (School): Mishawaka, Ind. (Penn)

Height: 6-0

Weight: 200

IndyStar Mr. Football position award winner at defensive back, Moala led the Kingsmen to the Class 6A state finals his senior season. A two-time All-State selection, Moala is ranked the 12th-best prospect from Indiana and the 84th-best safety in the nation, per 247Sports.

"We were looking for an electric playmaker on the defensive side & Paul Moala fit the mold!" Brian Kelly tweeted Wednesday. "Indiana's defensive back of the year will be an incredible asset to our squad!"
