San Jose State is on the board first after a six-yard touchdown pass from Walker Eget to Justin Lockhart, gives the Spartans a 7-0 over Boise State in the first quarter.
The touchdown came after a long fumble recovery return by Boise State's A'Marion McCoy was overturned, giving San Jose State the ball back.
Boise State went three-and-out on the game's opening drive, the first time since the season opener at Georgia Southern the Broncos failed to score on their first possession.
Boise State will be without safety Alexander Teubner for tonight's game against San Jose State.
Teubner was injured in last week's game against Nevada. Boise State did not give an update on availability throughout the week.
Teubner joins offensive linemen Mason Randolph, Roger Carreon and Jason Steele, running back Sire Gaines and wide receiver Chris Marshall on the Broncos' inactive list.

Boise State comes in today in its penultimate Mountain West game with a potential opportunity to clinch a spot in the Mountain West Championship game. The Broncos (8-1, 5-0 Mountain West) will officially clinch with a win today and a UNLV loss to San Diego State later in the day. Even if the Broncos and Rebels both win today, Boise State is in good position to make the championship game regardless of next week's results at Wyoming thanks to tiebreaker scenarios.
