Miles Plumlee and Taurean Prince were also with the players who were stuck in the elevator. The team on the way to meet Hawks owner Tony Ressler when the unthinkable happened.
According to Delaney, the team was stuck inside the elevator for around 15 minutes. Despite it, the 28-year-old baller says that the experience “wasn’t too bad.”
The Hawks are not faring well on their past few games as they’re 0-4 on the road. The last game of their road trip will be played at the Pepsi Center against the Denver Nuggets.
Their first defeat during this ugly stretch was a 104-103 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Jan. 2. This was then succeeded with another 89-110 loss to the Portland Trailblazers last Jan. 5. The Hawks were again defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, 132-113, in a game that pitted two of the league’ worst teams.
Their latest defeat was at the hands of the L.A. Clippers, which was another close call for them as the score ended 107-108.
The Hawks currently have the worst record in the NBA with a 10-30 slate.
