SAN ANTONIO – Spurs guard Manu Ginobili went to the locker room early in the second quarter of the team's game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night after apparently re-injuring his chest.
Ginobili was in clear pain after absorbing the right shoulder of Lakers guard Isaiah Thomas on an aborted drive. The 40-year-old future Hall of Fame went to the locker room seconds later but returned after a few minutes to the Spurs bench.
He was back on the court later in the period.
Ginobili missed the Spurs game in Cleveland last Sunday with a bruised sternum, an injury he suffered against Denver on Feb. 23.
