The Mariners are hosting the Cleveland Guardians tonight in the start of their second series of the season.

The M’s split their opening series with the Red Sox 2-2 after Boston beat them 5-1 yesterday.

Seattle had more luck in Saturday’s game, when Julio Rodriguez notched the first walk-off hit of his major league career to defeat the Red Sox 4-3 in extra innings.

Offense proved to be a problem for the M’s in that series, managing 10 runs in four games with the third-most strikeouts in the league.

They’ll look to get their bats going tonight against a Guardians team that took three of four games against the Athletics in their opening series.

Coverage begins at 5:30 and first pitch is at 6:40 on KPUG.

The Kraken are back in action tonight as they look for a late-season miracle.

They’re facing the San Jose Sharks in the first of a three-game road trip to California.

Seattle is coming off a 3-0 loss to the Dallas Stars on Saturday.

They’re sitting 14 points behind the last playoff spot in the West with just nine games to go in the season.

Tonight’s matchup for the Kraken appears to be a favorable one against a Sharks team that has suffered two-separate nine-game losing streaks over the last few weeks.

Coverage begins at 7 and puck drops at 7:30 on KGMI.

Washington State may have just found its next head coach for its men’s basketball team.

CBS Sports reports the school made an offer to Montana State coach Matt Logie.

He took over at MSU last season after current Huskies coach Danny Sprinkle left to coach at Utah State.

The report adds that Logie is still mulling the offer because of an extension Montana State put on the table that includes a big pay bump.

The news comes less than a week after Kyle Smith left Pullman to coach at Stanford.

The Washington State women had their season ended this afternoon.

The top-seeded Cougs lost to fourth-seeded Illinois 81-58 in the WBIT semi-finals.

WSU ends their season with a 21-15 record.

Gonzaga’s season is over after a 80-68 loss to Purdue over the weekend.

The Zags were coming off back-to-back 20-point wins in the tournament before their run was halted by the top-seeded Boilermakers.

Purdue went on to edge out Tennessee yesterday to make it to the Final Four.

They’ll face 11th-seeded NC State on Saturday, while the defending champion UConn Huskies take on fourth-seeded Alabama on the other side of the bracket.

The Sounders are still searching for their first win of the season.

They fell to the LA Galaxy 1-0 on Saturday.

Seattle outshot LA 17-9 but couldn’t find the net as they dropped to 0-2-3.

The Sounders’ next chance to make it into the win column is this Saturday against CF Montreal.
