Ciro Immobile was presented this morning as a new Sevilla FC player after the club reached a compromise with Borussia Dortmund to secure his services next season, initially on a one year loan deal in exchange for 3 million euro. The Italian player was in a positive mood during his presentation: "I’m very happy as Sevilla is a great club and a big family, this is an important factor for me after my negative season last year. I want to be part of this family. The year ahead will be important for me and I look forward to playing in a new league".
He was clear on him being a replacement for Bacca: "He was a great player who scored many goals. I’m here to work hard and I hope to score plenty too. I don’t want to talk about how many. I played in last season’s Champions League and this; I’m sure will be a great adventure".
He also hinted at his future plans: "I want to spend some time at this club; I’m not one for changing clubs too often. The negotiation was complex but I’d like to thanks the president and Monchi who were both instrumental in me coming here".
