It's official: Joan Laporta will run in the elections for the presidency of Barcelona. The former club president announced his intentions on Twitter and posted a video on YouTube showing the guidelines he will look to use in his election campaign. His message was clear: “We will do it together”.
Laporta has already rented premises in the heart of Barcelona, in Provença 300, where he will launch his campaign to be president at the Camp Nou for a second time.
Laporta also nodded towards a familiar face within his candidacy, that of Carles Puyol. “He’s a friend,” he responded when asked about the subject outside a restaurant earlier today.
