Jackson Martínez, Atlético Madrid’s new striker, this morning reflected on his presentation as a new Atleti player which took place last night at the Calderón. The striker stated that it was "a unique experience", and that "never expected so many fans to show up" and that he is now inspired to give "100% service to the club".
"To be honest I’ve never experienced what I already have at Atleti at my other clubs. The welcome has been amazing. So many people have given me their support. I really didn’t think so many people would show up last night at my official presentation last night. To see so many people at a simple and brief presentation is a massive motivation for me ahead of the season", declared the striker on the official Atletico website this morning.
"It’s not the same just simply training with your new club. It all changes when you’re given your playing shirt with your own squad number. That’s a great feeling and one feels so much more part of the team and the institution. I’ve started my cycle as an Atlético Madrid player", added the forward who scored on 92 occasions in just three seasons for FC Porto.
