Marco Asensio reports for training this morning at Valdebebas after finishing his summer holidays after winning the UEFA U-19 European Championship in Greece. Benítez will be able to see him in action as Madrid take part in the Audi Cup (August 4/5 in Munich) and the following 9th when Real Madrid face Norwegian side, Valerenga. However, everything points to the young player being sent out on loan to another La Liga club with Espanyol, Betis, Villarreal and Málaga being leading candidates to secure his services. The loan move will include a clause that will see Madrid be able to have the player return to the Bernabeu if the situation necessitates in the January transfer window.
At the moment Asensio faces stiff competition in the Real Madrid first team squad with the likes of Welsh player Gareth Bale and Isco ahead of him in the pecking order. Should these players suffer long term injuries then Madrid are anxious to have immediate access to the 19 year old player, rather than have to wait for June 30, 2016.
