Lucas Silva is set to spend the 2015-16 season away from Madrid on loan. Portuguese side, Sporting Clube de Portugal is one of the Brazilian’s preferred destinations. According to Portuguese sports daily, O Jogo, new coach,Jorge Jesus and the Lisbon based club have spent some time in pursuing Silvas as a new player for the Liga Nos side and even more so following the injury to play-maker, William Carvalho.
Madrid paid 14 million euro to Cruzeiro and the Brazilian player has featured little for the Spanish La Liga side. A loan deal is the only option for the player to secure first team football as Benítez doesn’t want the play-maker as part of his Madrid 2015-16 squad. The Brazilian was even omitted from the squad who traveled to Munich to participate in the Audi Cup which gets under way this evening. The player himself is acutely aware of his situation and recently admitted;“Going out on loan would be a good option for me”
