Roma, who finished second in Serie A, 17 points behind runaway champions Juventus, are already looking to strengthen their squad to compete with ‘The Old Lady’ next season. And sporting director Sabatini has his sights set on Sevilla’s Carlos Bacca.
La Gazzetta reported that after the return of Bertolacci, and the more immediate signing of Iago Falque, Roma’s next target is the Colombian goalscorer, who is currently playing for his national side in the Copa América.
According to the Italian paper, Bacca’s buyout clause currently stands at 25 million euros. If a deal is agreed upon by both clubs, it would represent another fine piece of business for the Andalusian club given that the Colombian arrived two seasons ago for €7m plus variables.
