If Jordi Majó wanted people to talk about him, he has succeeded. One of the candidates for the FC Barcelona presidency said yesterday that he had been offered Sergio Ramos as part of his election campaign, a revelation that has been talked about in abundance.
Many waited on the statements from the other candidates to see if the Real Madrid man had been linked across the board with Barcelona, or only through Majó. Bartomeu and Benedito have both come out to deny any contact, or an offer, for the Madrid defender.
“There is talk of many players, but at no time have I spoken to Sergio Ramos,” said Bartomeu. Benedito followed suit, but added some extra information on how genuine Majo’s claim was: “Knowing Jordi Majó as I do, I am sure that he is telling the truth.”
