The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) issued a statement confirming that they will now not appeal against Neymar’s suspension and the player will leave the Brazilian team base this morning.
"Neymar is set to leave the Brazilian national football team headquarters this morning in Santiago de Chile", added the CBF in their communique.
They added that they hoped that the Copa America disciplinary committee “applies the same rigor as Commebol" and that the sanction applies for "all competitions" organized by the governing body.
Brazilian coach, Dunga, gave the Barça the freedom to decide to stay with the squad or leave Chile to start his summer holidays.
The forward was sanctioned after the fracas at the end of the Brazil-Colombia match last Wednesday which Colombia won 1-0.
According to the referee’s report, Neymar insulted the Chilean official, Enrique Osses, after kicking a ball at Colombian player Pablo Armero at the end of the game.
Brazil managed to qualify for the next stage of the tournament last night and face Paraguay in Concepción on June 27.
