Seyer Gestión have opened a lawsuit against the RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) for a breach of contract claim for ignoring the offer from CGP Sport.

The RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) ignored a 6,6 million commercial rights offer for women’s football in Spain. This information was brought to light in a communique from Seyer Gestion, a Madrid based marketing consultancy agency that were contracted specifically by the Federation to promote women’s football domestically. They are now demanding a compensation fee from the federation of up to two million euro after their lawsuit was launched through a Majadahonda (Madrid) based court.

Seyer Gestión confirm that a 6,6 million euro offer was tabled by CGP Sport and for a six year period. Their proposal was to broadcast one live game from the Spanish Women’s football league and offer a platform where all games could be streamed live, show Copa de la Reina games and generate a Super Cup. They also offered the possibility of undertaking production responsibilities. The cost of match production would have cost the Spanish Federation half a million euro per season and CGP Sport were offering one million euro per season.
