Josep María Bartomeu, early candidate for the Barcelona presidency, attended a dinner at the Hispano-Francés club before speaking to the press about the current Barça squad: “We have a very well-equipped squad for next season, but Aleix Vidal will not be the only signing. The club will not come to a standstill because of the elections and will work on the plans made by Luis Enrique. The coach knows what we need and we do our homework.”
Bartomeu was also upbeat about the elections and talked about the support from people in the street: “Signatures? I don’t know how many we’ve got but the average season ticket holder is very happy and keen on us to stay at the club.”
