The comeback starts tonight for Michael Conlan.

Five months ago the Belfast fighter suffered his first defeat as a professional. It came in his sole world title shot to date against Leigh Wood.

Conlan was seconds away from being crowned WBA world featherweight champion, but Wood delivered a devastating 12th-round knockout to detonate the challenger's dreams.

The road to redemption is now under way for Conlan, and he starts his next mission against Colombian Miguel Marriaga at the SSE Arena tonight.

Earlier in the evening Colm Murphy outpointed Ruadhan Farrell to claim the BUI Celtic featherweight title. It was a great fight between two unbeaten prospects but Murphy had too much to take a 79-74 win on the scorecard.

Sean McComb cruised to a comfortable win over Ramiro Blanco while Kurt Walker eased to 3-0 with a routine 59-55 win over Marcos Martinez.

Padraig McCrory raised the roof with a superb stoppage win over Marco Periban. McCrory had his man down three times before the referee stepped in to halt the contest in the fifth round.

We will bring you live fight updates from the big showdown in Belfast, and also recap all the other fights on the card.

Both men appeared to take a breather during the first half of that round. Understandable.

You could throw these two in a phone box. Up close and firing off head and body shots.

Jenkins found some success at the end of the round, appeared to land some punishing body shots that forced McKenna to cover up.
