The game takes place at the iPro Stadium on Wednesday 29th July 2015, with a kick-off 1945 (GMT).
The match will be Derby County's second last pre-season game ahead on their 2015/16 Championship campaign which starts with an away fixture against Bolton Wanderers on August 8.
Paul Clements is the new head coach of the English side after former England national team coach, Steve McLaren departed at the end of a season that ultimately ended in disappointment as the East Midland side missed out on a play-off position despite topping the league for a considerable period of time as the season came into it's final period. Clements was former assistant coach at Real Madrid, working alongside Carlo Ancelotti.
Villarreal will play once again in the Uefa Europa League after finishing finished sixth in La Liga last season and their squad. 'Els Groguets'/ The Yellows, managed by Spanish coach Marcelino, have already been active in the transfer market this summer with the signings of Samuel Garcia and Samuel Castillejo from Malaga on five-year contracts, as well as goalkeeper Alphonse Areola on a season-long loan deal from Paris St Germain.
