Porto will be looking for their second win

The Dragons started the 2024/25 championship in great fashion, beating Gil Vicente 3-0. The goals were scored by Galeno, Ivan Jaime and Namaso. Apart from the scoreline, Porto's performance was good, but the team's early season pace was clear, as they started the game with a lot of pace and study.

Although Benfica and Sporting are more capable of competing for the title, due to their large squads and investments, Porto have a good structure and if they manage to comply with financial fair play, they can go into the market to find new players to add to the squad.

Santa Clara arrives in high spirits after opening win

The Brave Azoreans returned to the top flight by winning the second division title and their fans hope that this season will be different from 2022/23, the season that saw them relegated. They made a very good debut in the 2024/25 Premier League, winning 4-1.

Santa Clara's first four goals on their return to the top flight were scored by Vinícius Lopes, Alisson Safira - from the penalty spot - Ricardinho and João Costa. It was a fine first step, but the big question is how the team will perform in the remaining 33 rounds, as it is a fact that the team is fighting, in the first instance, to stay in the first division.
