Brazil coach Dunga had words of praise for latecomer Dani Alves after Peru win He s a lot more mature, he s versatile and we have faith in him.

Brazil coach Dunga analyzed his side's victory over Peru at the Copa América, a match where Neymar carried the Canarinho on his back throughout. "Neymar was decisive, but so was Dani Alves with the cross he put in. And Douglas Costa, with the goal he scored. And in general the whole team. It's normal that a player like Neymar, who has come into the tournament in great form, gets noticed."

The Brazil coach did not hold back on eulogies for Peru, who ran his more illustrious side ragged at the back. "Peru have a great chance of going through [to the quarterfinals] if they play like they did today. They put us under a lot of pressure in the first half and they had chances to score. At half time we corrected a few things and in the second half our keeper Jefferson didn't touch the ball. If they play with pace and with the forwards they have, they are going to cause problems for anybody."

Dunga also spoke of Dani Alves, who from not being in the squad a few days ago was in the starting 11 in Temuco. "He is a very experienced player, he's a lot more mature, he's versatile and we have faith in him. He's only trained for two days and nonetheless he played as we all saw, assisting a goal and keeping his position in defence well."
