Atlético Madrid have officially announced the signing of Luciano Vietto from Villarreal, witha a statement on their website welcoming the player. The deal is thought to be worth around 20 million euros, though some sources say it’s closer to 22.
The first official Atleti signing of the summer, who moves to the Calderón for six seasons, arrived in Madrid from Rome and appeared excited at the new sporting challenge ahead admitting it was a source of pride that he’s been compared to Kun, “because he was very successful at Atlético and he’s a great player”.
Atleti haven’t announced when the player will be presented in the Calderón, but the player is keen to report for duty and put himself at the orders of Simeone, who he knows from his time at Racing de Avellaneda. “I’m keen to start with the group”, he said.
