Real Madrid start their pre-season tour as they fly to Australia on Sunday where they are scheduled to participate in the Champions Cup at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. They play AS Roma on Saturday July 18 at 1100 CET and then face Manchester City at the same venue the following Friday with kick off this time at 1200 CET. After the games on Australian soil they fly to China, where they face Inter (Monday, July 27 14:00 CET) and then their city rivals, AC Milan on the following Thursday at 1400 CET.
After their participation in the Champions Cup matches, Madrid return to Europe where they play in the Audi Cup in Munich. Their first opponent will be Tottenham (Tuesday, August 4th at 18:15 CET) in the semi final and then participate in either the final or the 3rd/4th place game against either Bayern Munich or AC Milan on Wednesday, August 5th.
The last confirmed game at present sees the team move to Norway where on August 9th they play Valerenga (15:00). With the LaLiga season now starting a week later than was planned, there is an opportunity to revive the traditional Trofeo Santiago Bernabeu friendly match. The proposed dates for this game are August 14,15 or 16 and FC Porto are favorites to be Madrid’s opposition for this game.
