Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement in a deal that sees Ciro Immobile join the Spanish club on a season-long loan. The agreement also has a 10-million-euro option to buy which Sevilla could trigger at the end of next season.
Immobile was Sevilla’s first-choice replacement for Carlos Bacca and the Andalusian club now only lack a right-back to complete their squad for next season. The Italian marksman will join up with the rest of the squad this week.
Immobile played for the Juventus youth team before stints with Siena, Grosetto, Pescara and Genoa and Torino, with his performances at the latter prompting Dortmund to hire his services. The Italian’s arrival could now signal the end of any rumours involving Chicharito joining Sevilla.
