Andrés Iniesta was in his home town of Fuentealbilla to commemorate the fifth anniversary of his winning goal in the 2010 World Cup final. The Barça midfielder spoke to Spanish TV channel La Sexta about Iker Casillas' departure from Real Madrid: “I haven’t spoken to him [Casillas]. I presume the situation is not easy. Leaving your lifelong club is not easy so we’ll see what happens,” he said.
The man from La Mancha formed part of the same Spain side as Casillas during its most successful period. Together they lifted to Europan Championships, in 2008 and 2010, and a World Cup, and were both integral parts of La Roja.
